Dialysis Program Director

Geneva General Hospital located in Geneva, New York has launched a search to select its new Program Director for Dialysis. The Director will be responsible for the hospital's inpatient and outpatient programs including a thirteen (13) station outpatient unit.  The department provides Hemodialysis and Continuous Cycling Peritoneal Dialysis (CCPD) services.   The successful candidate will be a service driven professional who has the ability to lead overall operations and assist with the development of short and long term strategy.  He/she will direct the day-to-day functions of the Dialysis Program following KDOQI standards of care, CMS, NYSDOH and Joint Commission regulations, as well as, the facility's policies and procedures.  The Program Director has responsibility for ensuring that all patients are provided with an exceptional experience, high quality care and a safe environment.    The candidate must have strong leadership skills, a proven track record of success, and an extensive working knowledge of nursing practice, general operations, technology, human resources, business development, finance, quality and clinical outcomes, patient safety and customer satisfaction strategies.  Qualifications   Education         Bachelor's degree in nursing is required         Master's degree in business, health care administration, public health, nursing or a related area is preferred. Licensure         Current New York State license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse is required. Certification         Nephrology Nursing Certification through the (NNCC) within two (2) years of employment is required.  Experience          Candidate must have at least five (5) years of progressive experience and responsibility in a renal dialysis facility.  He/she should have at least three (3) years of supervisory/management experience preferably in dialysis.        Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage care delivered to patient populations diagnosed with renal disease.         Candidate must have experience leading QA/PI initiatives.    Abilities         Candidate must have ability to adapt to change and create an environment that supports change.         Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with all levels and operating areas.         Candidate must have the ability to develop and foster meaningful relationships with staff, patients and families.         Candidate must have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a commitment to provide our patients with an exceptional experience.          Candidate must be able to mentor, educate and develop staff.         Candidate must have excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
