This position will require daily inventory of specific campus dumpsters and totes - including trash, recycling, and compost. Locations of dumpsters include O'Dell's, William Smith hill residential halls, and DEC residence halls. This student will be tasked with creating a photo portfolio of the waste on campus.
+ Take photos of the inside of each dumpster and tote at each location. Upload and organize the photos into predetermined folders.
+ Complete daily waste inventory and estimate the percentage filled and contamination levels.
+ Keep organized records of the inventories.
+ Identify patterns in waste generation and waste pick up.
+ Offer suggestions for improving our waste collection system.
+ Help educate the campus community about how to correctly dispose their waste into the proper categories.
Special Skills Needed:
+ The student should be reliable and organized. After a time is set for taking photos, it must be consistent the entire semester.
+ The student should have the ability to self-motivate and work independently.
+ The student should have no problems dealing with adverse smells and poor weather conditions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
