Summary:
The Chief of Staff will provide direction to the Executive team on behalf of the CEO, supporting the CEO's strategic plan, managing processes and information flow, and organizing the CEO's and Executive staff's day-to-day activities.
The Chief of Staff is a trusted member of, and works closely with FLCH's Executive team.
Additional duties include ensuring strategic planning for and preparation of the CEO's meetings and travel, working closely with the Executive team to lead cross-pillar coordination on key organizational priorities, and facilitating coordination with Executive team members.
The Chief of Staff will represent the CEO, ensure they are informed of key organizational developments, and make sure the CEO has the information necessary to make decisions in order to advance key organizational projects and initiatives.
The Chief of Staff is a supervisory position.
This position is expected to travel between FLCH sites as needed, with some hybrid/remote work.
Main
Responsibilities:
Organizational Duties Implements vision and goals of the CEO for the organization by collaborating with internal/external leaders through strategic planning, decision making, and execution of decisions.
Organizes, problem solves, raises issues, and integrates initiatives, solutions, and actions for the CEO.
Oversee strategic business initiatives with the collaboration of senior leadership and department heads through the development of action plans and defined objectives Collaborate with senior leadership on the identification and pursuit of new revenue streams and fundraising opportunities Assist and communicate with Executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation Coordinate the Executive team by establishing organizational priorities, identifying operational indicators, and implementing controls.
Develop and build relationships with employees to help identify operational challenges and ensure successful implementation of organization initiatives.
Acts as the liaison between CEO and other Executives, clients, and stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and ensuring involvement or decision-making at the proper time Prepare substantive agendas for weekly meetings and ensure the Executive team is consulted closely on strategic decisions Understand organizational policies and procedures necessary to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed Act as the CEOs representative and ambassador to external stakeholders as directed Attends community meetings Sits on outside boards, organizational committees, and other outside activities as directed Administrative Duties Review correspondence and assist in drafting responses for the CEO as appropriate Manages the CEO calendar and prioritizes their time and schedule.
Conduct research; prepare speeches, presentations, and talking points for the CEO on an array of topics and for a breadth of stakeholders.
Develop memos, communications, and correspondences on behalf of the CEO, providing global organizational communication Performs other duties as assigned Education and
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Communication, Business Administration, Management, or applicable field required Graduate degree in Business Administration or applicable field preferred 10
years of business experience, preferably in non-profit 5
years business planning, operations, strategy, project management, HR, or related roles Fundraising and project management experience a plus Possesses valid New York State drivers license in compliance with FLCH drivers policy Current New York State automobile insurance in compliance with FLCH underwriting agreement Possesses the ability to flex schedule to include evenings and weekends Physical Requirements:
Must be able to hear and communicate with clients and staff via phone, web media, and in person.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to sit for extended periods of time OSHA Category II Please be aware that all staff are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
